Hey Brett,
I'm a little confused, I thought you had the Flexi 50 but I have seen on some of your demos that you use the Univalve.
Could you give us a little run down on what you are actually using now?
thanks mate

Yeah, my fault. I wasn't thinking and said I had a Univalve when I actually have the Flexi 50 and a BiValve. I use the BiValve constantly for recording, putting the Tube Zone in front then going direct into Pro Tools and using Guitar Rig's speaker simulator.
I'm still trying to figure out a live rig at the moment. Speaking of live, I'm going to get stuck into finishing the Canberra show dvd during August. |

Any particular reason you have focused on the Bivalve for recording rather than the Flexi50?
Also what do you use for dancing with the stars/it takes two?
Also who was the guy who filled in for you while you where away?
I need that DVD too! So does the rest of the planet!
can't wait!
thanks Brett!

I like the BiValve as you don't need to hook a speaker to it. Seeing as I'm recording DI it doesn't make much difference between the Flexi or the BiValve. Micing up the speaker is a different story however...I prefer the Flexi.
I use a Digitech GNX 3000 for the tv shows as they're very suited to going DI. We don't use any speakers on these shows. Simon Hosford (fantastic guitarist) filled in on a couple of shows and another fellow who is a friend of Chongs. Don't know his name.
The audio from the gig is really inspired stuff. I'm hoping the video is well shot so we can release it as a live dvd. If it's just the audio I'll still make it available somehow. I really wish I could tour with this band. Everyone still gives me the same rave about how no one likes instrumental music but no one is touring Australia doint it at the moment. All I need is to meet a promoter with a set of balls... |

Have you ever used a UniValve? How do they compare to a Flexi or Bi-Valve? |
