Ever tried any of John Suhr's stuff (Guitars or Amps)? Like the OD100's, especially the Classic series amps. I'm just curious if you have ever had a chance to play anything John makes.
Sorry for the late reply. I haven't tried any of the Suhr gear although it does seem to be the flavor of the month lately. I'd really like to check out one of their amps, particularly the one (I think) channel version that Scott Henderson plays. He says it's light enough to ship as air freight and I'm quite keen on getting most of my tone from pedals these days just for the convenience of portability. I don't really have the luxury of falling in love with any particular amp as I can never afford to ship them internationally when I travel but from what Scott has been saying, perhaps it'd be possible with this amp.
The guitars seem nice but I'm really happy with my old faithful ESP.

The Suhr SH-100 is all handwired. It is the drive channel of the Od100 Classic amp. It's a single channel amp with a very dynamic and responsive feel, almost Plexi like. It has the Aluminum case which makes it lighter. The Classic was modeled after Landau's favorite 71-72 Marshall. It's what I have, but it's the Plus version. It has just a tad more gain, but not much. I had the Flexi 50 for 5 or 6 years. It's a great amp, but it truly doesn't compare to the OD100 line in my opinion.
I would love to hear you through one.
I might pass this on to John. lol
Hey, feel free! Just judging from Scott's comments about the amp (I already know the tone must be great if it passes Scott's test) it sounds like it'd be the prefect amp for international touring.
