Hi all,
I'm not a guitar player, not in the least. But I did buy a cheap Monterey telecaster copy for something to play around on when I get that nagging musical idea in my head that I need to get out. The best I can do is a few chords and simple lines though.
Earlier this year I went to Billy Hydes with my Christmas bonus money to get myself a versatile distortion/overdrive pedal, was thinking to get a Boss. But the salesperson there recommended the TubeZone and after hearing him demo it for me, I bought it on the spot.
When I got home I got on the MI Audio website and registered my pedal online and that was where I found Brett's TubeZone demo.
And that was my introduction to Brett. I saw Brett talk and play at the Melbourne Guitar Show on the weekend. Good stuff.
*edited - I should probably add that my main background in previous years past was in piano/keyboards, but in the past year or so I've gotten into bass playing in a big way (double bass and bass guitar).
I listen to all types of music but lately John Scofield, Joshua Redman, Geoff Achison and a host of other jazz/fusion music has been on heavy rotation on my CD player.
Just got back tonight from Dizzys. Geoff Achison was playing with Rob Little on bass, Steve Sedergreen on piano, Mal Sedergreen on sax and.. dammit I missed the drummer's name here too.
