ironically most of the people that have dug it that i've directed to his myspace have been non-guitarists...

problem is guitarists focus on the guitar... as opposed to listening to his art as a pie ...

some people still play on .9s... depends on the guitar.. most Ibanez guitars don't feel right with .10s... the trems don't handle it and the frets get torn to pieces....

But .10s are where it's at. ...

his use of odd groupings is pretty sick, mostly since it sounds good... as opposed to trying to sound like an odd grouping...

Unfortunately the human attention span has shortened to alarming proportions... people want instant gratification.. and something like learning or appreciating an instrument ...

i think it boils down to neck shape i guess in terms of preferance, since sometimes too low can feel uncomfortable... too low on a flat and wide neck and feel weird for doing big bends.
