Hi folks,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good guitar teacher in the Kent area of the United Kingdom?

I'm interested in rock/ metal/ shred type guitar.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated!

I dunno where Clarky is based, but he's pretty amazing.

Jamie Humphries is nearby to you I think although pretty tied up.

Alternatively, yeah Clarky offers a masterclass style thing, if you don't need week to week tuition you could make the trip to wherever he is and get a few hours and be on your way for a few months. I feel this is a really good way to go for a lot of people who are used to being self sufficient to a certain extent.

Most guitar tutors would offer this sort of service so it pays to search out a good one... recomendations:

Nick Andrews www.nickandrew.net especially if you're interested in going down any sort of fusion route. Killer technique and versitility too.

Owen Edwards- posts on here... Cambridge based, very up on the whole metal/shred/prog thing. contactable through alloutguitar.com

Clarkey as people suggested.

Jimi Savage.

Andy James

Me (if you're really desperate! Very Happy) contactable at www.alloutguitar.com too.

I'm a teacher based in Bromley if that's anywhere near you. I also reccomend a music shop in Surrey about a 5 min drive off junction 6 (i think) on the m25.

Sites not up yet, but loads of really good teachers are contactable through that address.
