Does anyone know more about this? Ed?

I've heard that he's played Briggs before, but a "Signature model" is news to me. Looks like a set neck/335 replacement to me, and something Suhr probably isn't offering at the moment.

Anyone?

That surprises me a little given the amount of exposure Suhr are pushing Guthrie's way. Whatever the circumstance, great looking guitar. There was a Briggs reviewed in last months Guitarist magazine (UK) and they seemed to rank it right up there with the best.

Thanks for the answer Ed!

That's more or less what I suspected regarding the Suhr relationship. I'd still like to know more about the guitar though, if anyone knows anything...

To learn more about Jack Briggs here's a great article. Be sure to scroll down. There's a ton of pictures and info.

I've ordered one and can't wait for it to arrive.

The Briggs is a 24 fret, rosewood neck, floyd equipped 335 with a blue stain on the front and an exotic wood on the back. (Bowks'd be able to name the wood)

If Guthrie takes his hands off the neck it points at the floor, not my thing at all..

I think Guthrie ordered it before the arrangement with Suhr and it was finished afterwards and Guthrie bought it from the fellah.
