Hi Ed and Frankus,

Been registered over a year, first post. Great site (thanks) with members of impeccable taste.javascript:emoticon('Cool')

I’m a huge Guthrie fan, got the DVD’s, the tutorial books, still waiting for the CD and generally spreading the guthrie gospel.

Here’s a suggestion:

How about a tour/gig/live/clinic section for guthrie (like Guthrie Govan Discussion, Guthrie Tones and Gear, Guthrie Govan Media etc.)

A single place (instead of strewn around the forum) where we have a comprehensive list of where and when guthrie is playing. Whether it be Erotic Cakes or GPS or whatever. Designed for the forum’s international audience. For example:

The Siracusa, Sicily, Italy thing with Scott Henderson.
The Alloutguitar Guitar Festival
The Bassment dates

I live in Austria, Central Europe and would drive many hours to see him live if knew where and when.

The various websites (cornford, myspaces and www.GuthrieGovan.co.uk) give shockingly little information. This is the only site that gives in depth information.

It would need to be maintained. Isn’t there anybody out there who can do this for him - fuzzyduck?

Even if guthrie is due to do a clinic in a chicken house in deepest Romania under an alias I’d like to know. Although, Porgy & Bess or Birdland in Vienna would be perfect jazz-rock clubs for him (saw Holdsworth and Henderson at these and both were packed out). Guthrie would go down a storm here.

Many thanks
Felipe
