has anyone broken down how guthrie uses his fingers while playing. i love the way his legato runs sound when he uses his fingers instead of the pick. I want to try incorporate this style into my playing, is there any good websites that can help me become better at this? like im not sure what fingers to use for what strings etc. i can kind of muck around but its not always that accurate, does anyone know how guthrie approaches it?

Or if you are looking to spend a bit of cash, I would highly recommend guthrie's own book, creative guitar 2...he has sections in there on both hybrid picking and legato. Both of his books have helped me tons...and where else to get a better glimpse of his style... good luck

thanks for the suggestions. I've checked out both sources and have gained a little more insight but what I'm really looking for are a bunch of hybrid picked legato phrases rather than country licks and stuff like that. theres only one legato one that interests me in creative guitar 2.
