sure! there's some great tones beneath the delays, choruses and reverbs, somewhere deep down.

Luke is one of my faves!

He has amazing feel, great natural timing with superb note choice, but he has a horrible tone to my ears (EMG's yuk) and does get a bit messy on the over cooked shred stuff when he's off his nut! It's Lukes 'I don't give a Flying F#ck' attitude that I love. I can't think of a player that looks more comfortable and relaxed on stage when he's doing his stuff. I loved his 'El Grupo' stuff, pure quality Cool

Exactly how I'd sum up Lukather... he's got some lovely soloing ideas, and I really admire his musicality, but I don't like that processed, mushy tone or the music he's involved with. It's a bit like that with Eric Johnson, too, although I'm more positive about him. I absolutely adore EJ's playing and his live tone, but I wish he'd switch off the studio effects and stop singing Wink
