if you should use only one effect / pedal with your favorite guitar and amp what would it be ? boost, overdrive, delay, etc. ?

well, assuming that the amp itself gets me all the gain i'd need, then probably a wha or delay. the right delay box gives you tons of effetcts, but time-based effects per se is not something that i'd want to see as part of my basic tone. a wha goes a long way if you know how to use it.

essentiality is interesting. guess what, it changes every day. but yesterday i realized that somekind of wha, foot-controllabel or auto-filter, is the most impotant effect, but that i'm be happy to play dry if the amp and guitar is right.

also, my least essential effects would be reverb followed by chorus.
