I've done my best to notate the album version of "Fives" from the beginning until the end of the guitar solo. Is there any way I can post this? I did it through finale, so I'm not sure how exactly I'd put it up for others to see.

Pitch wise, it's very accurate but the rhythms in the solo are a bit off.

I've also used bits and pieces that people posted on the net to put the intro together besides the solo.

Intro and tapping part: Mark Mcguigan's notation

By the way, since I see that you read this forum Mark, is there any way you can post videos of any of the tapping stuff you wrote out? I'd really like to see the left hand technique during the taps, because you've been very helpful with the information you provided on youtube.

Cool Cool .

Can you print the Finale output to a *.jpg/*.bmp?

I'll see what I can do regarding the tapping section Wink.

I've rustled up a video lesson on the tapping section. Hope it helps! Smile

Had to split it into two videos:

Part 1: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bEh_pdwOcWQ

Part 2: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EJLivuJ8lRI

Excellent lesson! The most difficult part for me has been the muting, as it's my first time trying this kind of tapping.

Just in case you want to add it, I made a tab of the little tapping lick he does in THIS VIDEO at 1:02 ish. The ending may be a little off but the general idea seems right to me.

Code:

             T           T           T                 T           T
e-|-------------------------------------------------------12-15-19-22-19-15-12---------------------------
B-|-------------12-15-19-22-19-15-12-------------------------------------------12-13-15-13-12------------
G-|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------14-13-12-11-
D-|----------------------------------22-21-17-14-17-21-22------------------------------------------------
A-|-12-15-19-22------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E-|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They should be 16th note 7's (7 in the time of 4), with the last being an 8th note 7.

Also, please email me your tab (my username @ yahoo dot com
