Hey guys,

Just thinking of updating my strat pickups, want more bite. I currently have Fender customshop texas pickups in there. Anyone use hotrails? Any good? I noticed Dave K had a Hotrail in the bridge on his tele?

I really like my V60LPs with the Suhr Silent Single Coil System... ultra quiet and great tone.

Hmmm, sounds good, i haven't heard of them before. The silent coil system sounds awesome, any loss of tone? Do you have to butcher the guitar to fit it at all?

you 'just' change the backplate. there's wiring involved of course, but the only real change to the guitar is the backplate. the version frankus have is the internal one that can only be installed @ suhr (on one of their guitars).

the system really works. no loss or even change of tone. but since the hum is actually part of the sound we percieve from single coils, it might appear so.

Losing the hum really rocks... there was a video of Guthrie tapping something on his Strat for GT and it's not until he taps that you get any impression that the guitar is being driven like crazy Smile

Great tone too Smile
