So i've been playing through my computer with the line 6 UX 1 device thing for awhile. I think it's time to get myself a proper amp. My budget is somewhere around 350-500 bucks (or something like that) I play mostly Steve Vai, Santana, Opeth...and some John Mayer stuff. Simply I just want a good tone...a tube amp I guess? I don't know !

what currency is bucks? tell me your budget in sek, and it would be easier, for me at least. considering your influences, ypu need something pretty versatile, but your budget seems very limited. the line 6 spidervalve is a bit more expensive, but might be a good solution. one of the best bang for the buck amps imho is the peavey classic. with some good pedals, like mi audio's crunch box and/or tube zone, you'd get a lot of tones for a decent buck.

Hello. Decided to go for the even cheaper option...an used amp. So I bought a Hughes & kettner attax amp off blocket.se for 1500sek. Sounds really nice actually, it's kinda big for a practice amp...but whatever. Thanks for your advices though...ill look into the pedals
