a beautiful pedal that guthrie use sometimes is the barber direct drive...for me ... AMAZING .... the zendrive is beautiful but i prefer the xotic bb preamp also because the zendrive in italy is a relic there are few of them and cost so much !
Guthrie uses the Menatone JAC compressor. It's subtle but in a good way and can add a decent amount of boost as well. Guthrie had told me that he likes to use it mostly for slide playing.
As far as overdrive/distortion type of pedals, Guthrie has a bunch. It seems like he likes to use something like the Zendrive to kick a slightly overdriven amp into the next gear. _________________ Ed Yoon
