Christmas presents for the family, or seeing Guthrie again? I hope Santa wouldn't have enough time to put that on his list if i went for the latter because that would be very naughty |

Take it with you and leave it with the bouncers. You may still have enough time if you hurry up |

It was very crowded. Zak Barrett played too much and too much that wasn't interesting and personally, thought that having two guitarists in the band last night wasn't a great success. YMMV |

Was that too much Zak for a guitarist who'd turned up to see Guthrie?
Or too much Zak because he played too much?
I loves Zak's stuff it's like Brecker (IMO) they had Dave K as well? What about a keyboard player? _________________ Fabulous powers were revealed to me the day I held my magic Suhr(d) aloft and said "by the power of great scale!"

Yes, there was a keyboard player as well.
Dave Kilminister was a very musical player who laid back and made space.
I'm not dissing Zak. I'm just saying that for me, last night he overplayed and repeated himself. I don't hear Michael Brecker when he plays. Brecker varied his angles of harmonic "attack" more than Zak is inclined to do. |
