These are 30% of the originals, let me know if anybody is interested in the big files.
these pics don't do this guitar justice......... the guitar looked AMAZING!!!
by the way... anybody know how to register the Suhr forum? I want to post these on there as well, but it's asking for a VIP code.....
please do not distribute these pictures without my consent. Thanks.

I know this has been asked before, but when will this be available for ordering? I know they have to get some feedback, but I am in the market for a new guitar and had the order form filled out for a modern, but I cancelled so I could order this one instead. |

Well, Guthrie had his first public performance with his new Signature guitar at the GIT clinic yesterday and the guitar sounded friggin' AWESOME!!!! I've seen Guthrie live a bunch of times now and I've never heard him sound better. In fact, I'll go on record and say that this is the best live tone I've heard of him yet. Guthrie plugged straight into his Hellcat with no effects whatsoever and the tone was juicy yet clear and punchy - organic and warm yet articulate and defined. The notes were fat and thick but also clear as a bell. I don't know how else to describe it. Some of these descriptions seem like oxymorons but that's just how I heard it. It sounded "wetter" than before even though he didn't use a single effect to enhance the tone. Ah, yes, Guthrie is now a bona-fide tone monster! _________________ Ed Yoon

i'm sure this has been posted, but which hellcat does he use for this size place? I'm guessing the combo? Also, what are the reasons for not using the mk50? I guess maybe I should read more about his gear, but I thought he primarily uses the mk50. I'm new to Mr. Govan's music, but I would like to say that I will forever be a fan.
p.s. he's a bona-fide tone monster no matter what he plays in my opinion |

Normally Guthrie uses the MK50 MKII head. We couldn't find one in time for the clinic, so we borrowed the Hellcat head from Tone Merchants. Guthrie's very familiar with all of the Cornford amps and has used them for many, many years. For awhile in the past, the Hellcat was his main amp and still likes it very much. _________________ Ed Yoon
