On this track, guthrie does something where the notes are really high pitched and it baffles me. After watching the clips, I see him picking something up to use on the strings to achieve this effect. What is it that he uses? _________________ mmmmmmmmmmm |

I imagine it's something like a thimble ala Ron Thal or a slide used to play the strings beyond the fingerboard. _________________ Cheers

I have seen Guthrie play a solo using a slide, an ebow and a digitech pitch shifter at the same time..
Come the end of the solo he has this flick that shoots the slide at the ground.. _________________ Fabulous powers were revealed to me the day I held my magic Suhr(d) aloft and said "by the power of great scale!"
