Ok guys and gals! The time has come for me to put these bad boys up for you to have.

Firstly, as some of you may be aware, the reason I haven't been giving these away left right and centre is that I dont want to fade away into the background, i want to be remembered for doing these. Now they are in the public domain theres really little I can do but hope! haha

So just a little bit about me first and we can continue.

http://www.leviclay.com

http://www.facebook.com/transcriptions

ANYWAY! on to the good stuff

So as many of you know, i did these with the intention of putting them to Guthrie as a release, Greg Howe did it and made some good £/$ from it, but alas it wasnt to be! Crying or Very sad

DISCLAIMER - These transcriptions are 99% note perfect, but i will warn you that in places the tab might seem a little funny, these are just my interpretations of the notes Guthrie is playing.. so dont hesitate to look for easier fingerings! Where possible I have checked a huge variety of footage of the man to see how he plays certain bits, but noone is perfect

SO

Waves:

good start i know, but there is already a tab of this floating around here somewhere

Erotic Cakes:

OK... REALLY good start... Erotic Cakes isnt ready, i really dont like this tune, add to that there is some scary playing in it and very funny riffs... I have traded a complete .ptb of this tune, so i doubt ill ever get round to doing this one

Wonderful Slippery Thing

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547492

Complete, this one has been available for a long time though

Ner Ner

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547431

I got halfway through the classical section when i heard Guthrie didnt want to release a book, thats where I stopped! There are a couple of other Tabs that are not quite done, i probably wont be finishing them, so enjoy what there is

Fives

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547099

Everyone and their dog has a tab of this, but here it is with the ALBUM solo

Uncle Skunk

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547113

This was the first tab i did, i have been sharing it freely from my youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7JBD_F9WJ0)

Sevens

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547440

Its a toss up between this and Ner Ner for the spot of "most fun to play" I havnt done the whole solo as I improvise it when i play it, and there really wasnt enough reason to do it all

Eric

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547098/E

Sweet tune, i REALLY wanted this to go in GT mag

Slidey Boy

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547110/SB

This is a controversial one, i KNOW from asking him that Guthrie plays this in drop B... but one riff i could only get in standard!! haha

Rhode Island Shred

http://www.scribd.com/doc/29547105/RIS

Go on, i know you want to learn the fretless solo! haha

Any questions, comments, thankyous etc can be directed here

or at Leviclay88@gmail.com

hopefully see you all soon

EDIT

as these are all for sale on JTC, I thought it only right that I don't leave these online Smile

Truly Awesome stuff Levi!

You happy with this post being blogged/tweeted?

Funnily enough I tend to skip Erotic Cakes as it's not my fave either Wink

Nah, If a magazine decided to print an erotic cakes tab they would have to pay the publisher (i assume guthrie is self published)

at that point im pretty sure Guthrie would step in and do a transcription himself lol, make a few extra

I wouldn't look at Guthrie's transcriptions now, these are the fingerings i worked out and i have incorporated these things into my way of playing

If i found Guthrie would play these differently my brain would melt!

Laughing

(can we sticky this?)

Thank you so much man!! I'm working on inputing these into Guitar Pro. Is it cool if I upload them to ultimateguitar.com afterwards? I'll make sure to give you credit on the tabs!

i have them all in guitar pros, thats how i do them (any my gp5s have ALOT more parts in them too)

id really rather they didnt end up on UG tbh, thats WHY i uploaded pdfs rather than gp5s or ptbs

I dont want my work being diluted, if i want them on UG, ill put them up on UG, but currently id like them to bring traffic to this site
