I'm pretty sure Guthrie uses an harmonizer pedal in Eric.
Does anyone know which pedal is it (if he uses one)? |

because of the parts after the 1st solo ends there's 2 guitars
and i think there are minor third from each other all the time
and in the same rythem.
so how does he play it?
in live he only plays 1 guitar? |

Hes never played the song live, iv asked him to before but he cant
And its not a constant harmony, its a counter melody
example
bar 37 (1st bar of harmony) to bar 38
Upper note D B G A E D ] B A B A G
interval b3 3 4 4 6 4 5 5 5 5 5
Lower note B G D E G A ] E D E D C _________________ Suhr GG modern > peterson strobe 2 > EB wah > Rothwell compressor > Xotic bb+ > Suhr Shiba > Suhr Riot > DE phaser > Analogman bichorus (all in carl martin combinator) > Bogner XTC head > EB volume > Eventide timefactor > cornford 2x12 |

or do it without the harmony
Hes played uncle skunk live once, he just played the melody
Tbh the harmony isnt your biggest problem, id say its using the slide, then taking it off for the chorus melody and getting it back on so fast
Guthrie doesnt do that in WST, he just plays the melody fretted, BUT in Eric i think the slide is the most important thing in the tune _________________ Suhr GG modern > peterson strobe 2 > EB wah > Rothwell compressor > Xotic bb+ > Suhr Shiba > Suhr Riot > DE phaser > Analogman bichorus (all in carl martin combinator) > Bogner XTC head > EB volume > Eventide timefactor > cornford 2x12 |

You said he cant play it live missmisstreater, whys that?
Is it because of the time required for taking the slide off? |

I would assume this is why it started
but now id guess that he cant remember how parts of it go, i know i cant remember songs i recorded years ago, and its just because if i dont use it, i lose it _________________ Suhr GG modern > peterson strobe 2 > EB wah > Rothwell compressor > Xotic bb+ > Suhr Shiba > Suhr Riot > DE phaser > Analogman bichorus (all in carl martin combinator) > Bogner XTC head > EB volume > Eventide timefactor > cornford 2x12 |
