Expect more, a lot more, of this to come this coming January. It'd be so awesome if Matthias IA Eklundh could make it out to NAMM and we'd have our own "G3 Squared" over here. Wink This stuff was all off-the-cuff spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. I expect that Guthrie and Ron will be able to work something stuff out beforehand the next time around and really do some out-of-this-world stuff together.

Awesome video!

A G3 with Bumblefoot, IA and Guthrie? Smells like a cool business opportunity to me, Ed.

I got this from Bbf as well. Sure is cool. Looking at this clip, I wonder why Guthrie sounds so much louder when all he does is just take the guitar from Bbf and doesn't change any of the settings on the amp? Question Unfortunately, I couldn't watch that whole jam going on that evening because I was somewhere else in the shop making sure the buffet table was well stocked and all. Sad

Bumblefoot, IA, and Guthrie??? Shocked We should call it "G3 Squared"!!! Laughing

No doubt.. No offense to the Vai Satch Petrucci/EJ fans, but Govan, IA, and Thal makes the previously mentioned 3 more akin to Keith Richards, Neil Young, and Joe Perry. LOL

Satch'd be Joe Perry, he does that "Dude, that sounds like Joe Perry at a carnival" thing * really well.

* Dude, I did see Joe Perry at a Carnival, dude looked like a lady..

So who's playing the Bad Cat amp in the background? Ron/Guthrie or Rico (the other guitarplayer)?

I missed most of that night's show including the jam. Rico was plugged into the Bad Cat Hot Cat 30 head and Bbf was plugged straight into a Diezel VH4 all night. Rico was just using the Hot Cat's clean channel and all the distortion and effects were coming from a Boss multi-effects processor.
