If all goes according to plan with the album and the regional tours, this is the rough schedule. Nothing's set in stone but we are working on it.

Late-June - Los Angeles, San Francisco
Late-July - China, Korea, Japan, Vladivostock in Russia
September - US/Canada East Coast
Oct or Nov - Europe

This is going to be a new band - a collaboration between three outstanding musicians. To me, it really is kind of like Cream (or ELP, Blind Faith, etc. in terms of "supergroup" concept) and the band members including Guthrie agreed.

As for Guthrie's solo album (or Erotic Cakes with Pete Riley on drums and Seth on bass), that'd be a separate thing altogether. Guthrie may contribute a few new EC tunes to the GG/BB/MM project but I figure most of the tunes will be written specifically for this band.

Really can't say when the next EC album will be recorded and finished...

You know, one amazing thing I remember from this gig is this as I sat right next to the amp/cabinet behind Guthrie:

I believe it was either one of Bryan or Marco's tunes and the first verse/chorus section was going at a certain tempo and I remember Guthrie stomping on his Eventide Time Factor delay pedal three times to set the tap tempo and I saw the read-out saying it was at 159 BPM.

Then the tune wandered off into another section with a different mood and tempo and Guthrie disengaged the delay. After a while the tune came back to the first verse/chorus section and I saw Guthrie stomp on the delay pedal again to set the tap tempo. I saw the digital readout and it was again at exactly 159 BPM!!! I was thinking that maybe it'll be 157 or 160 but it was 159. AMAZING! Shocked

I told Guthrie about this and even he was flabbergasted. I told Marco about it later over lunch and he even shook his head, saying, "Oh really? I guess I'm just a robot." Haha. Laughing

Here are some new vids of the NAMM gig that just popped up on YouTube. The audio is kind of weak on all of the vids and Guthrie's sound is somewhat low as well (especially on 'Waves'), but the vids give you an idea of how much the three hit it off together and the sheer enthusiasm they shared that night after having just 1 hour of rehearsal together the previous night.

As you can see from these vids, Marco is also a drummer who really listens to what's going on and apply wide-ranging dynamics and sensitivity. It was a very memorable night. Very Happy

I'm pretty sure that he's back in UK now. You'll probably want to check with the Bassment about any upcoming Fellowship shows.

Hey Ed,

Any possible location for Canada / East Coast? I'll drive as far as I have to!

Great news on the album, I'm actually more excited about this than a solo album. These guys will only bring out the best in each other.

The two cities that are as good as done are Montreal and Toronto. Both of our dealers and contacts there want this trio bad!

I agree. This will be a real band in the tradition of Cream. You don't have that these days with guitar virtuosos. They're all solo projects with a revolving backing band. The goal will be to make the album sound really "live" with raw energy.

I guess I shall made the trip to Montreal, and visit the charming Andy Cherna, and his beautiful collection of gear! Cool

Marco came over to the shop on Friday and we looked over some of his guitars that had minor electronics issues and installed our Classic T bridge pickup and an ML neck in his prized '70 Telecaster. Afterwards, I invited him over to my home for some home-cooked Korean meal and he loved it. Like Guthrie, Marco is a real fan of spicy Asian dishes. Very Happy

Marco also played with my two boys for quite a while and they really took to him as if he was an uncle as Marco is so friendly and enjoys playing with kids. My wife also commented about how cool it is that he's so humble and down-to-earth for a guy who is so monstrously talented. Like Guthrie, you quickly forget what an amazing musician he is and just talk to him like an old friend and a real nice guy that you've known for years.

Here are some pics from the evening.

And I may as well post some pics of other monster musicians who've been over to hang out and sign autographs for my star-struck kids! Mr. Green
