It seems every guitar magazine (both online and print) want a thorough rundown of Guthrie's rig during the tours. As Guthrie mentioned in the recent Premier Guitar interview, it sometimes seems that people are more interested in his rig than his music, which somewhat puzzles and disturbs him, which I think is perfectly understandable. But I guess we gotta give people what they want: gear, gear, gear! Wink

I really like how Guthrie is experimenting with Charvel. I already own a Suhr set neck GG signature (GREAT guitar) and I think I would buy a Charvel GG signature. In my opinion is almost perfect, but I would prefer an alder body (no maple top) and a Gotoh 510 trem w/ vintage saddles.

I can envision various wood combinations in the future - Alder body, Swamp Ash body, etc. Personally, my favorite is the Basswood/Maple body with Maple neck but Alder and Ash sound great as well in their own ways. I still prefer Rosewood fingerboard with Alder. All Mahogany with Pau Ferro or Rosewood board like on your set-neck is a great combo as well. That guitar has a great "bark".

You are right, Ed: that guitar barks! It has nice mids and is very versatile!
