I've been checking that site on and off for a few weeks and they seem to have had some capacity problems, so very few picks have been available and never any GG signature picks the times I've been on.
Looking forward to trying it, I am a happy Blue Chip user at the moment so I will post my opinion and comparison
Anyone else have any good or fun picks that they like?
I have a prototype Red Bear GG signature pick that became what it is now. The only thing different is the color. I'm waiting for the new final "official" version myself.
The pick feels and sounds great. I find that I still prefer the pointy non-speed-bevel heavy-gauge Big Jazzer on the low strings of my Strandberg 8-string but for "normal" stuff the new GG pick is awesome.
You have to remember that Red Bear is essentially a one-man operation - Dave Skowron. He's a great guy and I talk to him on a regular basis. Really dedicated to his craft and knows picks inside and out.
It seems he's just starting to catch up somewhat. He had a huge backlog once the GG pick was introduced. Good for him! I work at the largest MI company in the world but I really like to see the little guys win out too! _________________ Ed Yoon

Cool! Thanks for the link to the story behind the picks. 2.0mm, that's a good deal thicker than the 1.0mm blue chip I use at the moment. Definitely looking forward to trying the thicker pick.

The thicker pick definitely gives you more low-end and a bigger sound in general. I was surprised by the easily noticeable difference between the 2.0mm gauge GG pick and the 1.6mm Big Jazzer. The speed bevel makes a difference as well since more of the pick's surface is hitting the strings.
I think I tried the 1.0mm Blue Chip pick once as well. I thought it was very nice but I prefer the extra stiff and thick picks for electrics. For acoustics (mainly strumming and accompaniment kinds of stuff) I prefer the Dunlop Nylon 1.0mm and sometimes a Fender Medium.
The Dunlop Nylon is somewhat unique in that it really produces very little pick noise. Allan Holdsworth uses it for this reason as well as Frederik Thordendal of Meshuggah. _________________ Ed Yoon

My "official" Red Bear GG Signature Model pick just arrived today along with another Big Jazzer heavy gauge (no bevel) in the new brown agate color. Really exquisite picks as you can see below. But what sets the Red Bears apart is the sound and the feel.
I've been using Red Bear picks for many years now but I'm always excited and pleased whenever I get some new ones fresh out of Dave's shop. I have a pretty decent collection in a variety of colors and gauges with different options but these two are definitely my faves now. Enjoy the pick porn!
And here are a few more with my well used and traveled incumbent picks included. They look a little worn but I could probably use them for at least another 6 months or so, probably longer. I have some Red Bear picks that are over 5 years old and they all play just fine.
