How cool. I reckon this is a 'prototype' of an updated model which Charvel might introduce later on for the general consumption. The same, hopefully, goes with the roasted swamp ash model which GG has recently used as his dropped-D guitar:

Indeed, I think Ed Yoon (alexkhan) has already talked about this here in the forum. They were originally doing something odd with those brass marks in the maple top which then Guthrie requested to be removed, to be replaced at some later point with numbered knobs.
