Anyone agree Guthrie would be an ideal guy to play some of those "impossible guitar parts"? Wink

Well I can think of noone it'd mean more to Wink, there seem few fresh professional players who'd be capable and as motivated.

GG to play stunt guitarist in a Zappa band .. bloody hell that'd rock Laughing .. damn where's my English reserve.. ahem..

yes, I think that would be a rather splendid proposition, more tea?

Well, I forwarded the message to Guthrie. I'm sure he'd be excited just thinking about it. Guthrie is going to be in heavy demand pretty soon!

But getting back to the subject matter on hand, found this Greg Howe video which is fairly current:

Talk about fluid and groovin' at the same time!Shocked

Amazing player... I gotta get him over to play at the Tone Mecca one of these days... Guthrie and Greg jamming and playing together would really be awesome. I could see the two working out really well if things were planned out properly. Now that they've met and know each other, I'm sure they'll stay in touch and hopefully do something together in the future.

Considering the amount of mutual respect both have for each other, I'm sure we'll eventually see them do something together. The more I think about it, the more I think a collaboration between the two would work out great. They have different and complementary styles although both can pretty much do whatever they want on the guitar.
