Hello everyone,
I've ordered both guthrie's clinic and live dvds but for now they're not arrived.
I watched the videos aviable at tone merchants site.
the video number 13 show right at the begining guthrie playing long notes while apparently not picking the strings (for those of doesn't see clearly of what i talk about here's the link: http://www.tonemerchants.com/Guthrie_Govan_Clips.htm#SUGI)
It seems just like if there was a sustainer but i can't see one.
What is that technique? is there any effect on it?
How guthrie just play it?

He's just using pure feedback there - no Sustainer, no EBow, no effect whatsoever. Just the sound of the amp vibrating the string naturally and Guthrie squeezing out those harmonic-induced notes with his left hand. _________________ Ed Yoon
