yngwie can play blues....but i guess he prefered to play it his own way....if he were to play blues for about 2 minutes i'll definitely want to listen to it....

no doubt that he can play the blues.....maybe his feel is in there mixed up with all the shredding....but yeah i wouldnt mind listening to him for 2 minutes at most....coz blues doesnt have to be a slow one...but then again i wouldnt want to hear it all over again

Yngwie can play the blues, if he were to it'd be like this:

Mah chenille jumpsuit is too tight...
I couldn't get it off last night.
A week went by and now it's July
Ah gots dem salt lick arm pits..

Mah make up has run
My wife says I'm no fun....
I wants to cry
But first I'll eat pie...

Someone lent me Yngwie playing red-house and it sounded like Yngwie playing Red-House. He didn't bend the notes he just played all the notes in between ... I was simultaneously impressed and unimpressed.

That pretty much summons up my general impression of Yngwie on the G3 dvd, though I feel he did seriously molest those Hendrix tunes. And Vai and Satriani didn't do very well either Rolling Eyes

I found the whole G3 DVD rather pointless, if you liked it you were probably a fan.. I was just up for watching some guys churning out good music ... meh Sad

Hmm, the link to the clip seems to be down Confused , but based on the "blues" I've seen him play in the past...it's not for me. Fantastic at what he does with the whole Paganini Viking thing but his blues playing is so false that it's almost funny ( reminds me of that Bumblefoot tune "Can't Play The Blues" Very Happy ).

As for the G3 DVD, I really enjoyed Vai and even Satriani ( who bored me silly on the original G3 tour) and Yngwie is unintentionally hilarious as an overweight metal god (kinda like Peter Kay does Spinal Tap).
