Hi All,
Probably a lot of you already ran across these, but LickLibrary has a new set of tutorials by Guthrie. It consists of 4 separate lessons: alternate picking, legato, tapping, and sweep picking. Cost of the set to those with a free membership is $4.50 USD (full members get it free). I bought and attempted to download them all, but looks like only the legato and tapping ones came through my dialup intact. They're geared to the intermediate level, but as usual with GG, there's plenty to bite into for any of us.

Hey Bert, I've been browsing that site and can't find anything besides the old Chromatic Licks article. Am I supposed to be looking at certain areas of that site to find these lessons? _________________ Ed Yoon

Hey Ed,
Oops, I see what you mean -- it's not easy to find, and searching on "Govan" at their site doesn't even pull it up. I was following a link from their email advertisement.
Anyway, try this: From the opening page (or various other places in their site), follow the link(s) to "Video Vault." One place to start is:
http://www.licklibrary.com/tutorials.asp
then click "Video Vault Home." From there, click "Technique Lessons" on the left of the main Video Vault home page. Guthrie's lessons should appear under the "Intermediate Level/Technique Modules" heading on that page. Let me know if that doesn't work. I think you do have to sign up for the free membership before you can download.
I think the lessons are similar in content to the material in Creative Guitar, but for me it definitely helps to watch him playing the exercises at slow and fast tempos.
