I think mine would have to be "Ner Ner."

That song is pure awesomeness.

Yeah, even if it just goes, "ner ner-ner ner-ner"... Wink That one is the epic Guthrie track for sure. It's very cool that such a simple melody line is juxtaposed and stretched out to a long track that keeps your interest all the way through. Compositionally, it may be the strongest of the EC tunes to date. Fives and Erotic Cakes are my two other faves.

Another vote for "Ner Ner" from me, I love that Steve Morse-ish muted arpeggio section in the middle.

Although it's not strictly a Guthrie tune, I really like the 7/8 latin tune in the Fellowship set ( which I've forgotten the title of) from the 19th DVD too.

Ner Ner definitely gets my vote too - I absolutely LOVE that song. Guthrie definitely hit a home run with that one in my book. I think "Fives" comes in at a close second - out of what I've heard of th EC stuff.

I like Chromazone from the Fellowship CD the solo goes through loads of changes Brian Eno Moog darkness to Larry Carlton-esque to Shred overload and all with the best possible taste.

More recent renditions of The Chicken have pressed home the real band playing stuff (I say recent I've not been for months Sad)

I haven't heard much, but probably either 'Sevens' or 'Wonderful Slippery Thing'.

Out of the ones I have heard 'fives' does it for me. That tapping lick that he does is just amazing (does anyone have the tabs for this).
