I would like to see what crazy ideas Guthrie can come up with a 7 string

from heavy riffing to walking bass-lines....I'm sure whatever he does would be nothing short of amazing Twisted Evil

Yeah, that's a good idea. You know he'd rip on it and come up with some cool new ideas.

There was an English guitar maker called Blackburn I believe, that showed some exotic guitars to us and they had an over-the-top long-scale 8-string guitar they had us try out. I heard that Guthrie got to try it out, too. He seemed intrigued by the possibilities of it.

I've seen Guthrie do the walking bassline Joe Pass kind of stuff. Always fun and amazing as usual... Laughing

Yeah, you're right! That's what it was. Really well-built and very sleek guitars. They're a little too pointy and Metal-like for my taste but it was obvious the workmanship, the concept, the sounds, and the playability were all top-notch. The prototype 8-string that they showed me was very intriguing.
