I'm checking out Inner Jazz at present and I just bought Advancing Guitarist and I must say it's amazingly good and very disappointing at the same time.
It suggests a whole bag of things I already figured I'd have to do which was a disappointment, but the hints I haven't thought of myself are extremely useful. _________________ Fabulous powers were revealed to me the day I held my magic Suhr(d) aloft and said "by the power of great scale!"

I can relate. It's a very Zen-like kind of book that forces you to figure things out on your own and to practice creatively on your own. If I had 3 or 4 hours a day that I could devote to practicing, I'd be all over it. But now that I'm just a gear pusher and casual player, it's way beyond what I could make good use of. _________________ Ed Yoon
