Well, I had just received an email from Guthrie that he was getting the inoculation shots for the upcoming tour of South America and I hadn't been aware of it. So, lo and behold, I go to the Asia site and the band has a bunch of dates for Latin America and a decent chunk of USA as well. It's cool the tour finishes up neatly in San Juan Capistrano in Orange County! Guess Guthrie could hang out in Southern Cal for a bit afterwards and conduct a few clinics before he heads back to UK. _________________ Ed Yoon

Damn! Wish Asia could do a tour of Asia!!! Rather ironic, don't you think?
Can we get Guthrie to do some clinics here in Hong Kong??? The main mega (read: "don't really care about customers") music shop here is Tom Lee, and they often have some guitarists do some workshop/clinics.

Tour dates have changed somewhat near the end.

It does seem like the South America portion is a short one and that Guthrie will be back in UK for a while before embarking on the US tour in late-June. _________________ Ed Yoon

I'm sitting here with jealousy. It's rare when any bands make it here to Hawaii I think the last band I got to see (and go back stage whoo hoo) was Journey. That was an awesome concert |

Yeah, I could imagine. But it can't be as bad as California. Things are getting mighty absurd around here. _________________ Ed Yoon

Wanna bet? For the size of about 1500 sq. ft. home on a lot that barely fits that home, you're looking at about 1/2 a mill. Some guy purchased a lot (raw, no house/waterlines etc.) from my aunt for about $300 thousand bucks. The lot may have been about 12 thousand sq. ft. or so. Anyway, this guy built just a plain old "cracker jack box" house (not sure about the sq. footage, looked pretty large) and just sold it for about 900 thousand bucks |

Yeah, that's definitely ridiculous by even Southern California standards but probably on par with the Silicon Valley area. _________________ Ed Yoon

So who's going to catch Guthrie on the Asia tour? Some changes for the California portion:
http://www.asiaworld.org/tour_dates.php?tour_ID=2005sn&now_on=1
I'll definitely catch the Coach Hose show on July 24.
Here are a couple of pics from a recent Asia show in UK:
Guthrie is starting to look like some Merlin the Wizard kind of figure, isn't he? Fits his wizardry, I suppose.... One more:
