Seems like Captain Kirk was having some issues....all the sites he hosts were down for like 36 hours. Looks like he landed back on his feet though.

Seems this migration to a new server hasn't been without its share of headaches. They're still sorting things out. First, it was some DNS problem. Then it was the database. kirk95 advised me that the server would still crash every now and then and they're still sorting out that problem. At least they seem to be backing everything up on a regular basis. Hope they get it all fixed up and keep this site trouble-free.

I'm just another moderator here like yourself and wouldn't be able to tell the difference between lines of code from server IPs. kirk95, our good administrator here, is the one in charge of all things technical and I believe he hired a tech crew for the migration to the new servers and hosting of all the forums on this site. There have been some glitches and I'm sure kirk95 has been on the tails of this crew about 'em big time. I know he can't afford downtimes like we've recently had.

I just flew in from Venice, boy are my arms tired.

I must say I feel an overwhelming urge to chuck it all in and buy a Motoscafi.. spend the rest of my days wearing a slick pair of sun glasses and whizzing the wealthy hotties and starlets from Piazzo San Marco to Lido. The idea of having to constantly revise my skillsets.

Ah well back to work tomorrow Sad

Good to have you back, mate. It sure is nice to get out of town for awhile, isn't it? I was in Korea for a week early this month and I wanted to stay longer. A change of scenery is always a good thing. Still dreaming of seeing Europe someday... sigh...

Shocked Say it ain't so, Krusty! They played House of the Blues in San Diego last month.

Ed, I think you must visit Europe. I'd put Venice (in the spring) way up there.. possibly with Paris in the Summer (the French evacuate the city at that time Wink) and Chelmsford on a Thursday Wink .. my favourite haunts in Europe are all run down seats of Empires (probably something to do with being British)

We're planning a few more breaks soon, hopefully to somewhere sunny in the winter and a ski holiday in the summer..

I expect to start visiting Europe for both business and pleasure in the next year or two. Can't wait!
