Hey,
Just pimping a new fretless tune i've done. Thought you guitar heads might like it.
You can download it from http://www.soundclick.com/jameswent
Tune is called 'Mathews Got a Noisy Haircut' I used a Vigier Exaclibur fretless and a Line 6 Pod.
Hope you enjoy it, feedback appreciated. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/jameswent |

I've already said this on the IM forums (before the thread disintegrated into 'Greg vs. The World') but this is an astonishing piece of work. The intro is great and really captures the 'slide blues' thing, and then it goes totally bonkers. Top work.
As a matter of personal taste, I agree with Grunfeld that the 'shred kick drum' thing can sound odd sometimes, and I am not the best person to expose dissonance to - I go green and start twitching. However, to some of the fusioneers on here, I reckon it'll be mother's milk.
Listen to this tune, guys - it's GOOD. _________________ Mmmm...Sacrelicious. |

It is very good indeed! Nice intro and the verse hits you as something unexpected, which is cool. The tones are good and I really like the phrasing. I like how things keep moving along. Good job! _________________ Ed Yoon

Sounds nice
Say, in what country did you buy that Vigier guitar and how much did you had to pay if I may ask? |

I was listening to some of the other tunes on your page and some of the B section changes are verrry noice indeed... and plenty quircky melodies!

Haha... Yingyang MoleSpleen... Classic!
Especially all that demonic backward guitar sounding stuff at the magic 2/3 point...
Man, I'd like to know your recording routine i.e. how you setup a ProTools session etc.
You mentioned you use POD 2.0, have you tried Guitar Rig by Native Instruments?
