I read that the RC Booster sounds better w/ single coil pickups? How does it sound w/ dual humbuckers?

I think that statement could be due to the fact that the single-coil pickups have a wider frequency range than humbuckers. Single-coils simply have more highs and more lows than humbuckers, which are pretty midrange-oriented. The RC Booster is a wide frequency range clean boost pedal, so you hear more of that range being boosted by the RC. It works just as fine with the humbuckers. It really depends on how you use the unit. There are many applications for that pedal.

I just ran both the AC and RC boost with my CU22, LP classic and Strat with texas specials, through my ac-15 and Bassman ri.
Put all guitars and pedals through an extensive workout and the fattest tone was the RC ,strat and ac 15. Unbelievable !

The ac boost smoothes out and pushes with the HB guitars, without that tube screamer mid-hump.

The rc puts the sound in "the spot" without altering the tone radically.

Yep, a real cool pedal. Scott Henderson says he has the gain and the volume all the way up, the bass at 10 o'clock and the treble at 2 o'clock. Guthrie was using it in the loop of his Hellcat head for volume boost on the solos.
