I am trying to figure this out.

I have the hand and thumb shape down, but how is the pick hitting the strings? Is it opposite of the Al Di, Mclaughlin way where the pick is angled down or does the pick still angle down the way Shawn picks. I t would seem the pick must angle upwards.

Nevermind. I have finally found a close up picture and he in fact holds it the opposite way. I'll try it.

hmm this is pretty awesome, i never noticed that lane held his pick the same way i do Smile Ive always found this to be the most relxed and comfortable picking style ive tried , ever since i started playing guitar people have told me ive been holding my pic wrong but ehh screw them haha.i could never get into playing regular style Razz
