Aww... sorry to hear of the tuning stability... I guess that probably goes for most floyd type guitars though, eh? How about sustain? Is it decent? Thanks again!
alexkhan- Can I call you Ed? It seems everyone else does, lol. That Satch model is my favorite looking as well, although Paul Gilberts sig is reeeeeally close behind. I tried to like Vai's guitar, (beautiful inlays) but that dang handle thingy... dorky! |

The thing about those Vai guitars is that it's hard to pull off....it really only looks best on Vai, it suits him. But otherwise it looks kinda goofy for the average dood.

The JS2000 is actually a fixed bridge but with a locking nut.
The sustain is excellent. I would certainly recommend trying one whenever you get the opportunity.

No, the tuning's fine when it's locked but sometimes I like to keep the nut unlocked and that's when it get's annoying.
I think that for a guitar of this price and quality there shouldn't be any issues with tuning.

Well, though this `project` is meant to show how fast people can pick with a `pick`, i am also working on clocking Paco`s finger picking, at the same time as clocking John McLaughlin, from a few of their concerts they did together. Then i should be just about finnished.

I think that being fast is great, nuff said, but after a while it gets a bit tedious....

Fun to watch, for about 20 secs, but with guys like this, seen one seen em all. I think if its purely speed your looking for, the more ludicrously untastefull and fast with crap vibrato the better lol. |

Yeah, i clocked a load of the fastest Paco DeLucia clips i could find a few days ago, as well as a load of John McLaughlin clips.

The guy is a joke. I don´t even consider that fast playing. His coordination is laughable, thus for me it does not count. It is like someone moving both hands very fast at the same time... That is not playing, you can´t even hear the notes, and it has nothing to do with how fast they are "played"!!

Lanes gone faster than that, but thats his fastest alternate picking speed. |
