Well, our debut at NAMM was a smashing success and as overwhelming as all of it was, we all had a great time meeting with our dealers, fans, customers and our awe-inspiring roster of artists. As far as artists are concerned, John and I agree that we wouldn't trade our roster of artists for that of any other company's in the world - not only because they're the very best players in the world, but because they're all genuinely nice guys who are fun to work with and who really love our instruments. We enjoy a very close and personal working relationship with all of our artists and we give each artist the attention they deserve. And we're just getting started. Many more new Suhr artists to come! Enjoy the pics!

Nice pics, Ed. Good work! It felt like I was there.

P.S. I like Guthrie's T-shirt. An FZ fan and a fan of Papa Lazarou? I knew there was something I liked about him. Wink

Awesome pics dude.

But seriously, that Nick Sterling guy is seriously overrated/spoilt.

Why do you say that? Have you seen him play lately? He's just 15 years old and he could play circles around most guys who've been playing a long time who are twice his age or more. He's improved by leaps and bounds since the last time I saw him a year ago. From playing covers of old Van Halen to SRV to Liquid Tension Experiment to his own tunes that actually stand up well to the well-known classics, Nick is a very good player by any standards and well on his way to becoming a great one.

Even Guthrie told me last year that Nick is going to be something special. Guthrie's exact words were: "He's going to be really, really good."

And why do you say he's spoiled? He's one of the most humble and level-headed kids I've met. He pays for all that gear with the money he earns from the countless gigs he plays around town. People who saw him recently will tell you that he's a seriously good player regardless of his age. Judging by the improvements he's made in the past year alone, I'm thinking he'll be amazing by the time he's in college.

I don't think Nick's got the natural over-the-top chops of someone like Guthrie, Lane, Yngwie, Marcello, Holdsworth, etc., but that's not his style anyway. He already knows the direction he needs to follow - which is his own. He shows incredible maturity for a player of his age.

I can understand your sentiments, but I can assure you that he's not overrated and that he's not spoiled. He's only 15 and improving on a daily basis. He's going to be something special.
