Well, the Tone Mecca room at Tone Merchants has multi-functional purposes. This clinic/concert room was added to the shop for, yeah, conducting clinics and concerts, but when the wife of a good customer told me that she wanted to throw a surprise party for his 40th birthday, that convinced me that the room can also be used for banquets and parties. So last Sunday, we threw a party for my son's first birthday along with my wife's friend's son's first birthday.

Noel, who goes by fingerprinz on this forum, and who's the one shown on the Guthrie clinic video clips on the TM website shaking his head in disbelief at various times, had his casuals band and provided the live entertainment. The band sounded great.

And here are some photos from the surprise birthday party thrown for a local customer:

I like to look at TM as more than just a gear shop. It's sort of a club and a community of like-minded people enjoying each other's company talking about good gear, good music, great players like Guthrie, Holdsworth, Henderson, Landau, etc. Just wanted to share the fun!

Cool, Ed! Never thought I'd see Winnie the Pooh balloons in Tone Mecca. Laughing

You've definitely built something much more than just a gear store. I'm happy to be doing my part to help fund it. Wink

Thanks, Ron. Great to have you as part of the community! Yeah, I'd like to think that it's about the whole experience of the music-making process with our chosen instrument - the electric guitar and amplifier (with some effects thrown-in here and there for spice). The sheer variety of musical styles and sounds is what makes it so fun, challenging, and ultimately rewarding.
