The "gospel", the "bible", the "buzz", whatever you want to call it, is now taking on a life of its own out there. And that's a very cool thing! On the TM website, the Guthrie video clips page is now by far the most active and popular page and many other guitar related forums have threads like this going:

Let's keep it going! _________________ Ed Yoon

That's cool but also sad how quickly that thread meandered into the "AH Syndrome" about Vai.
Q: How many guitar players does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: 13
1 - to actually change it....
9 - to stand in the back of the room with their arms folded muttering:
"I could have done it better"
2 - to debate in a forum just how much better
1 - to post in the same thread how childish the other 2 dudes are _________________ What would we all do without guitars............. take up knitting? |

Yeah, that forum has a tendency to let threads get hijacked and move onto something totally unrelated from the subject matter. Oh well, what can you do?... I'm starting to get bombarded with enquiries about the DVD's. It's a lot of work but something I enjoy doing for Guthrie. I'm also forwarding a lot of people to this forum to get the info as there is really nothing else out there. Running or operating a few forums now, I've noticed that for every registered member, there is probably another 4 or 5 (possibly more) who are just passive observers. Donnie, do you find that to be the case with the Shawn Lane forum? _________________ Ed Yoon

Well I felt that was only fair considering how much time unregistered users were spending in the media section. Even so, very few of the newer members post at all. _________________ ...the torch has been passed... |
