I does take a few days to get here..when I buy something from an ebay seller from the U.K. it can take up to 9 days to get here
p.s. I really want a Harlequin The soundclips from Frank Gambale and Guthrie on the Cornford website sound so awesome
Gotta wait a while though..untill there's room financially for a new amp.. |

Hey everybody, I've been visiting this site for awhile but have never joined in; I, like many in here, probably first heard GG via the in-store clips. Let's just say that I became an immediate initiate and leave it at that! I also just ordered the CD from the Cornford site and look very much to listening to it time and time again...The best guitarists, in my opinion, are, and have always been, simply great musicians who just happen to play the guitar; Pat Metheny, Wayne Krantz, and Shawn Lane just to name a few. I already know from the brief glimpses that I've heard that GG is an A+ player, I now look forward to taking in the compositions themselves... |

I got one at the Bassment Gig yesterday!
I reckon they sold out of them. I have just worn a Gordon Giltrap sized grin all the way into work... had a little bit of hair standing on end as well from time to time.
Genius work... and Mr C, people are going to be eating their words about that cover. I reckon that was another of your marketting ploys, if it was you're a sly old dog the writing in it is really personable and it's like a Simpsons episode for all it's small details and touches.
Brilliant-issimo! _________________ Fabulous powers were revealed to me the day I held my magic Suhr(d) aloft and said "by the power of great scale!"

OMFG!!!!!!
This is the most amazing CD I've heard in a very long time!
Only on the second listen so far and my jaw is firmly seated on the floor.
Thankyou Guthrie for existing!
And thanks have to go to Mr Cornford for getting this out to us.
This isn't going to leave my CD player for a long time, with the exception of transferring it to and from the car. |

It goes without saying that the productions is crisp but pleasantly mellow on the ears and that Guthrie's playing is phenomenal-he does things........unspeakable things..... to his guitar that coaxes out lovely tones. This has to be the best advert for Cornford amps ever! It's a thick, middley tone that still manages to bite through-it's never muddy. Yum, yum! If only they weren't so loud and expensive!
But it's the pieces themselves that really shouldn't be overlooked-there are structures that are Vaiesque in their complexity, but never overbearingly so! When you hear it you'll realise that Guthries has musical taste by the spade-load-his note selection is just impeccable! He flies around the fretboard but always nails that wonderful note of resolution that makes you go all gooey inside and makes you want to grab your guitar and play. Also, I think Guthrie's music spans that Anglo-American sound-it has hints of both cultures, but you're not quite sure why.
I'm going to have to listen to this a few times to really get a handle on it, but rest assured, you won't be disappointed!
Guthrie, you are a star and I'm a sincere fan! _________________ Open the door of Kukundoo and let the wisdom flood in! |

Quite simply, amazing!!!
Not since i heard alien love secrets have i loved a guitar album so much
From about 15 seconds into waves, i knew i was going to love it and it just kept getting better. the bits about each song are great, i laughed out loud on more than one occasion. Also lets you know that Mr Govan is one of us, and not a "vicious celebrity guitar monster".
This is exactly what an instrumental guitar album should be in my opinion, song that have a great tune to them and still make you think "how the hell does he do that"
If i wasnt a mega fan of Mr Govan befor, i sure as hell am now
I cant say enough good things about it, and as far as bad album cover goes?? not a chance, its perfect. |

I am deeply chilled by the quality of this album! Half way through the disc I was in tears of joy. This is what it's all about, it's the finest art you could ever hope to get your hands on. _________________ The more you learn the less you know |
