I was just wondering what other music related forums everyone visits. Maybe we can all discover a cool new community to add to our list of frequently visited forums. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to get Guthrie's name on all of them. My measly lot is as follows (other than this one and the others on this network):
http://www.petrucciforum.com
http://forums.allaboutjazz.com
http://www.djangobooks.com/forum
http://forum.intermusic.com

Want to see you visiting here more often Ed - it's a fun place to hang (and then maybe you'll spot my gear questions and be able to justify me actually buying a Suhr). |

Daily:
Memphis Monster
Petrucciforum
Gearpage
Reguraly:
Brett Garsed forum (few activity there..)
Kurt Rosenwinkel forum
Harmony Central
Andy Sneap (producer) forum
Realallan...(if I can stand the snobbery..)
This is almost completely in lurking-mode I just like reading what people have to say about my favorite subjects and artists. |

I'll try to do that. That's a fun forum that I like to read up on. I'm sometimes afraid that I'll get sucked into all the fun and zaniness going on in there and burn up too much time. More than any other forum I know of, that one seems to be a real "club" sort of a hangout. _________________ Ed Yoon

It's quite a close knit community, but the benefit is you don't get any real bitching or in-fighting - it's all in fun! |

I rarely post on any other music sites outside the online discussion network forums. I used to post quite a bit on the JP forum but I eventually just lost interest. I just do a lot of lurking on most of these forums that everyone has mentioned, just to get info on like gear and stuff.
These days I mostly post on video game forums (1up.com). |

have to say that the more frequent posters here are really cool. there have been some cool, informative, funny and interesting debates in the past. everyone seems to be generous, reasonable and genuinely interested in music, and there aren't too many "not-so-experienced-metal-heads" starting useless threads about sweep picking minor triads for beginners (althoughy they are welcome).
i'm certainly not always serious around here (got a bad sense of humour i cant help), but i prefer discussing guitar playing related stuff here, since the quality of discussion is genereally higher than on the other guitar hero forums.
kudos to you guys!
i guess the forum will be busier now for a while
