Thought you might like to see my new Guthrie inspired Suhr guitar. Just picked her up at Tone Merchants on Saturday... Feast your eyes on this:
Boy, I'm a happy guy right now. Unbelieveable player and it sounds amazing! This guitar is everything I dreamed it would be and the attention to detail surpasses anything I've played or owned before..
Thanks Ed! Thanks Noel at Tone merchants as well!

Congratulations! There's some nice pieces of wood assembled there. And Suhr's craftwork is really top shelf. I'm sure it's a great playing tone machine.

Hey Steve, congrats on the amazing guitar. I was happy to hand-deliver that beauty to you at TM myself. That's a very nice mix of Guthrie's two Standards. Guthrie would give a big thumbs-up for this one! _________________ Ed Yoon

Cool...I just checked out the TM site and thought it was funny that the list price of a hollow body koa topped Standard is $5150 hehe. |

Well, Koa (especially the figured variety for the top) and Pau Ferro woods are becoming very scarce and quite expensive. That guitar is chambered as well along with the gold hardware which adds to the cost. Still, one should be able to get about 25~30% off of the list price from the dealer. _________________ Ed Yoon

So? It still reads 5150! Only meant for those who've gone crazy from GAS! |

Our tricked-out Custom guitars with the carved arch-top, custom inlay jobs, binding around the body and the neck, etc. will add up to well over $7000 list. But consider that Fender's so-called "Masterbuilt" Custom Shop guitars will easily list as much as $10000 or more and it's basically just another Strat or a Tele. But I guess that's still a lot cheaper than what vintage Strats and Les Pauls are selling for these days... _________________ Ed Yoon

Ah, okay!
Well, I guess that shows you that I wasn't such a huge fan of the latter-era VH. _________________ Ed Yoon
