This is maybe a little bit old question, but I watched those tone merchant NAMM video clips and I´m so confused how good overdrives guthrie have.

So, I want to know is guthrie using hellcat´s overdrive channel or is all of overdrive from barber direct drive for example in song called "sevens"?

When I set up that rig for Guthrie when I was at Tone Merchants, I threw in the Barber DD because I saw it in a picture of his older Bassment rig. It turned out that he didn't need the Barber with the Hellcat. So, the overdrive and distortion sounds you hear in those clips and in the DVD are all Hellcat - no OD pedals.

That clip of Guthrie and his band playing Sevens on YouTube was/is the most incredible thing I've ever seen in the world of guitar
