I didn't leave the house all day yesterday (recovering from the flu). So, I spent the better part of yesterday afternoon (and last night to be honest) tabbing a few of my favorite riffs from Erotic Cakes (the best $28 I've EVER spent!). I used Amazing Slow-Downer and I jotted down my tab on paper -- I think these versions are correct but I don't have the greatest ear. (feel free to correct my tab wherever I went wrong)
Now, I can get the notes into Guitar Pro but, being musically illiterate or untrained or whatever, I have no idea how to use rests, dotted notes, ties, triplet/sextuplet/etc. notation, etc. and therefore my tab doesn't sound quite right.
Here's what I managed to come up with after an HOUR of trying to get the first line of "Fives" into Guitar Pro 5. This was just blind guesswork with the sextuplet run, the dotted notes and whatnot. It's close, but not quite.

Clearly, I have no idea what I'm doing.
So, I decided not to go any further with this until I learn more theory. Until then, can any of you help input my tab into GP5 files?
Pretty please?
Here are some screen resolution versions. I have 300dpi scans at 100% if these screen versions don't print up to your standards. Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated!!
(edit: if any of you have other bits of tab you're willing to share, please, hook me up! eh?)
sorry, this one is a bit sloppy. if you can't read it, just ask me. and those sextuplet and triplet groupings may or may not be accurate -- that's just how I "think" of it when I play it for "rhythmic" purposes. (same comment applies to Uncle Skunk)
Oh, by the way, not to rub it in, but I GET TO SEE GUTHRIE PLAY AT THE CORNFORD ARTIST SHOW AT TONE MERCHANTS ON JAN. 19!!!!
WOOOHOOOOOO!!!
(and I'm seeing Paul Gilbert at the Viper Room the night before!! and it's my birthday that Wednesday!! -- this year is shaping up to be a goody! well...except for the flu bit...) |

Yeah buddy! I'll be a few seats down the row in D12 and D13 with my bro.
I can barely contain my excitement!
By the way, I realize that entering stuff in tab software is a chore (unless maybe there is a midi input system via keyboard? I dunno, I'm a noob). So basically I'm not expecting many takers (if any) on my request. But I just thought I'd put it out there, for my own educational purposes in case someone was REALLY bored and on the hunt for a tedious tab project.
If nothing else, I've contributed a little tab for those with a hunger for some more "accessible" Guthrie riffs...
Cheers -

Wow! Thanks! You're the man!
I think I'm going to "try" to do it myself. You know, an honest effort to learn how to do something usually is more beneficial in the long run. I gotta pay my dues if I want to be able to tab out an ENTIRE Guthrie tune...
Baby steps... |

Fives and Uncle skunk are Raven's. Sevens and Waves were my touch. _________________ 2115: Guthrie's son introduces "Foot legado" |

wow, that was quick! Thanks. OrangecCounty, for doing these! Unfortunately, I only have the trial version of that TabIt software which limits the file to 16 bars. Anyways, I'll get around to tabbing these in GP5 and/or Power Tab. I need the practice... |
