Nice idea for a thread Frankus, I'm sad enough to find things like this quite interesting too.
On my mp3 player by artist Guthrie is after the GRP All Star Big Band (check 'em out if you don't know them) and before Handel.
By album Erotic Cakes is after Endtroducing.. (a seminal instrumental hip-hop album by DJ Shadow) and before Every Day by the Dave Matthews Band, as per someone else's reply.
By genre, where I have the album down as Instrumental Rock, Guthrie is after Eric Johnson and before Richie Kotzen (electric joy, great guitar album from the old school!).
The actual CD is sitting in a rack above (my housemate's copy of) More Smooth Jazz on a Summer's Day and below Intimacy by Matt Redman.
Maybe someone could come up with a connection-via-Kevin-Bacon type theory related to Guthrie's music - you must have heard it, the idea that starting with Kevin Bacon (or any other decent celeb) you can connect up to any famous person via their networks. Given the diversity of entries in our music collections I reckon that between us Guthrie fans we would have most things covered...
