Scott and the band tore it up again last Saturday at Tone Merchants. Man, Scott is just so good, and what a big FAT TONE he coaxes out of his Suhr and the CAE OD-100! And Kirk Covington was on fire that evening on the drums. He sounds twice as loud as most drummers who play here, which in turn forces Scott to turn up and it gets LOUD in that room, but a good loud. Guaranteed that your ears won't be ringing after the show. Scott and the band really enjoys playing here. Here are some pics:
It's interesting to note that on the OD-100, Scott has the treble down to around 11 o'clock and the presence dimed on the distortion channel. Gain is up only about half and the master is at around 1 o'clock, so the amp is up loud. Although the cab was mic'ed, we had that channel on the mixer up to only about 25% or so while Kirk's vocals and drums were from 75% to all the way up, so the great majority of the guitar sound one hears in the room is the live amp and the cabs. _________________ Ed Yoon
