The Fuzzies were there, Mr Fuzzy walzting around with his Erotic Cakes t-shirt on.
Set list as follows:
1. Sevens
2.Fives
3.Waves
4.Wonderful Slippery Thing
5.Erotic Cakes

Just on a personal note thought the sound where we were standing could have been better.
Paul Gilbert was fantastic.
Also spare a thought for drummer Pete Riley who played all afternoon, the show was running late, then had to dash off to play a Hedgehog gig in Enfield. He deserves a great pat on the back.

Yeh, forgot to mention the setlist.

We were up front against the railing and dead centre. Waves was due to a request-call he threw out to the crowd, at which point the entire front row, including us, seemed to shout "Waves!", simultaneously.

"Do note, Dave hasn't really played this stuff before so be gentle."

Dave was paging through the sheet music in the background, and conferred with Guthrie. "Yeh, Waves is cool". At which point they played Waves, with Dave K sight reading the whole thing, flawlessly.

Erotic Cakes was kind of a, "oh, we still have time", sort of thing.

Here are some more pics from the London show popping up around the web:

Guthrie Govan

Paul Gilbert

Some more herky-jerky phone vids from the London Guitar Show

Yngwie
http://youtube.com/watch?v=k1jrDI93fBE

I guess Yngwie just can't play without that wall of Marshalls behind his back. I read that a crew of guys stacked up all those heads and cabs just before his set. Laughing

Paul Gilbert playing 'Scarified'

Guthrie playing 'Sevens'

Guthrie jamming with Billy Sheehan
http://youtube.com/watch?v=47ZlHl6iOSE

I'm sure more stuff of this jam will pop up soon. I can definitely envision Guthrie and Sheehan doing something together in the future. And, yeah, Guthrie is quite the fan of Landreth and Derek Trucks.

I'd imagine that Guthrie got to meet and chat with the legends Yngwie and Pablo?

I want to thank Guthrie for giving his time to talk and have a snapshot with him before his set and after on saturday. it sounded like he had a bit of trouble getting his gear over there from our chat so THANKS Guthrie, It was really cool. If there is "no rest for the wicked" then you have been a very naughty boy Smile Cheers...Brandon.

At the end of one song Sheehan shook Guthrie's hand and said something like "that was awesome".

Cool!

What happened to Richie Kotzen though? On his website and myspace there's a rather terse-sounding one-liner saying "I will not be playing at the London Music Show this month" What happened there?

Thanks for the welcome to the forums btw.

Yeh, the Yngwie Marshalls were stacked up by a bunch of guys after Phil Hilborne finished his set. I was quite amused by the rather obvious, "this one amp here is the only one switched on", situation that arose when he started his set.

Incedentally, does anyone know where the footage from the official looking video cameras at the front will end up? That could be well worth getting hold of.

Gosh, those pictures are awesome, especially considering that it's more of a low light setting!

You are really tempting me to go against my better financial judgment and buy an IS EF lens!
