Hey everyone, new guy here.

I'm a metal guy and I'm a big fan of the whole shredding scene, but this guy Guthrie seriously is the first guy to convert me into this stuff.

I can't stop listening to his Jeff Beck style track and the B.B. King style one.

WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE LEAD TONE!

This has probably been asked before but what gear is Guthrie playing through on the Jeff Beck style track.

Pickup would be nice too, and is Guthrie getting that old school sound with pedals in front as well?

Thanks

Hey,

Welcome to the forum....

I know that Ed (who runs these forums) will have a definitive answer here, but in a nutshell I believe he's using his root-beer Suhr Standard, through a Cornford MK50.

You can read all about GG's Suhr's here: http://www.suhrguitars.com/artists.aspx?artist=govan

And the full specs for that particular guitar are here: http://www.suhrguitars.com/downloads/pdf/GG_Root_Beer_1_Specs.pdf

As far as I know, he doesn't use any gain pedals in front of the amps.

Someone else will come along here and post more amp/pedal detail, I'm sure...

Cheers
Jordan.
