The body is glossed. The neck has the thin satin finish (non-gloss). _________________ Ed Yoon

The GG Model units have started shipping out to some very happy GG fans and here are some of 'em here:
SN9609 (NAMM prototype personally signed by Guthrie)
SN9610 (NAMM prototype personally signed by Guthrie)
SN9900
SN9995
SN10013
SN10014
SN10027
SN10220
Not exactly a GG Model as the following has a Quilted Maple top with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard instead of the Flamed Maple top with a Pau Ferro fingerboard, but all the other specs are identical to that of the GG. Looks great.
Guthrie's own personal piece is SN9611 but we don't have a studio shot of it since Guthrie took it back to UK with him before we could take some photos of it. _________________ Ed Yoon

As you've heard the saying, the look is only skin deep.
Guthrie had a choice of one from the three prototypes we built for NAMM. He ended up taking the one that was probably the least attractive (in terms of the figuring on the top and the look of the natural Mahogany on the back) and was also the heaviest. The one that Guthrie chose weighed in at 8 pounds and 1 ounce while the other two were barely 7 pounds, a full pound lighter than the one Guthrie chose. He never plugged any of the three guitars into an amp. He was only interested in how it sounded acoustically and how it played. Ultimately, that's what matters the most. _________________ Ed Yoon

Here's a GG Model with a few customized specs requested by the customer: Fireburst finish and gold hardware. I think Guthrie might be open to the Fireburst finish but I'm pretty sure he's not a gold hardware kind of guy. Looks pretty cool. I'll have to ask Guthrie what other colors he would approve on this model. Maybe we'll add a few more colors as an option on this model.

I just bagged one of these and they are just fantastic.
Ed - the only problem I have is that its disappeared from the "just shipped" and your post above. Its No. 10486 and your pics are bigger than on Suhrs website. Thanks for sorting the top as per my previous emails.
